TransFS is a comparison shopping website for credit card processing. Our unique auction process and comparison engine allows us to save businesses 40% on average on their credit card processing. TransFS is quick and simple to use and all of the processors that bid on our site are vetted and certified by TransFS to ensure quality and ethical behavior.
The TransFS Story
TransFS emerged out of the frustrations of Sean Harper as he was building TSS Radio – an ecommerce store focused on satellite radio equipment and accessories (2009 Inc. 500 Company #94). Sean began shopping for credit card processors one day and realized pretty quickly how hard and time consuming the process was going to be. However, from his days at the Boston Consulting Group working on financial services, he knew a better deal was out there.
After an arduous shopping process, Sean was left with a number of offers that were hard to compare, even for him (and he held a degree in Economics from the University of Chicago). Sean knew there had to be a better way.
After thinking through some potential fixes, Sean enlisted classmate Josh Krall, a software engineering wiz, to help build the site that you are on right now. The pair worked on the site and the auction process for quite some time and then launched the site in 2008. TransFS was officially launched in Spring of 2009 at the FinovateStartup conference.
Both founders have built businesses and have run into the huge problem that is shopping for, and comparing, credit card processing options. They are now working hard to make sure no business has to go through the hassle again.
